Residents
The current residents in the program are:
- Yading Yuan Ph.D. He graduated with a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago CAMPEP program working under the supervision of Dr. MaryEllen Geiger and entered the program on July 1st, 2010. He performed research under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Bortfeld at MGH. Now in his third year, he has rotations in treatment equipment, dosimetry, simulations and treatment planning, radiation safety and brachytherapy. He passed part I of the ABR boards.
- Jennifer Pursley Ph.D. She graduated with a Ph.D. degree from Johns Hopkins University, followed by post-doctoral work at the University of Wisconsin (Madison) working at Fermilab and entered the program on July 1st, 2010. She performed research under the supervision of Dr. Robert Cormack at the BWH. Now in her third year, she has begun rotations in treatment equipment, dosimetry, simulations and treatment planning, radiation safety and brachytherapy.
- Kent Riley Ph.D. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from MIT. This was followed by post-doctoral work at MIT on the boron neutron capture therapy project. He performed research in his first year under the supervision of Dr. Gregory Sharp at MGH. He has begun her clinical rotations.
- Sara St. James Ph.D. She graduated from the CAMPEP program at McGill University with an M.Sc. in Medical Physics. She gained her Ph.D. from the University of California at Davis in Biomedical Engineering working under Dr. Simon Cherry. She performed research under the supervision of Dr. John Lewis at BWH. She has begun her clinical rotations.
- Mingyao Zhu, Ph.D. She graduated with a Ph.D. in Physics from the College of William and Mary; has been a post-doctoral research associate in the Applied Science Department at College of William and Mary, and also has been a post-doctoral research associate in radiation oncplogy at Washington University School of Medicine. She has performed research on adaptive treatment techniques using fiducial markers. She has passed Part I of the ABR. She is currently in her research year working on an imaging project for proton beams under the supervision of Dr. B. Winey.
- Christopher Williams, Ph.D. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and has contributed to the development and commissioning of the Murchison Widefield Array aimed at studying the Epoch of Reionization of the Universe. He is currently in his first research year working on dose assessment for SBRT lung treatments based on 3D images of patient anatomy during treatments under the supervision of Dr. J. Lewis..

- Yi Wang Ph.D. He graduated in June 2012 from our CAMPEP accredited program, and is employed full time as a radiation oncology physicist at MGH, Boston, MA.
- Zhaohui Han Ph.D. He graduated in June 2012 from our CAMPEP accredited program, and is employed full time as a radiation oncology physicist at BWH, Boston, MA.
